WHO WE ARE
Here at Alfrick WI you’ll find a small, friendly, daytime WI, meeting in our excellent Village Hall in the rural village of Alfrick.

WHAT WE LOVE
We have the reputation of being very friendly! We run a varied, year-round programme of speakers and workshops, meet for lunch on a monthly basis and enjoy an afternoon tea outing in August. Many Alfrick WI members have been instrumental in setting up and running the thriving Community Shop and Post Office here. We’re also involved in the annual Alfrick and Lulsley Show, setting up the craft and cookery classes and acting as stewards. In fact, we’ve been at the heart of village life for some time… celebrating our 75th anniversary two years ago with a range of events.

WHY JOIN US
Our members enjoy not only the WI itself, but also involvement in many other activities in this very community-minded village. We’re always happy to welcome new members or visitors – and taking part is easy, thanks to our modern, accessible Village Hall with a good car park attached.

WHO WE ARE
Here at Callow End WI we are extremely friendly and welcoming, with happy, considerate members who enjoy laughing and learning together. New faces are always welcome!

WHAT WE LOVE
With around 27 members, Callow End WI is medium-sized group. At our monthly meetings we like learning new skills and listening to a good speaker on topics as varied as nature, history, music, crafts and local interest. Over the past year, for example, we’ve enjoyed talks on honeybees, gemstones, casualty simulation and an excellent evening learning about medieval warfare. There is often some audience participation… and always a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake! Those of use with special interests can enjoy a choice of sub-groups, including our very creative, twice-monthly craft club, an active walking group and a strong skittles team. We regularly arrange meals out and outings together too, from day trips to Little Malvern Court, Witley Court and Hampton Court, to watching Calendar Girls on stage in Droitwich. Our Christmas party is an open evening (usually musical) where we enjoy the company of several other WIs.

WHY JOIN US
We have such fun together at Callow End WI, and we’re always ready to give new members a warm welcome. Do come along and find out more!
