WHO WE ARE
Beoley WI is a thriving, friendly and welcoming group with around 50 members of all ages and all kinds of backgrounds. We’d love to meet you!

WHAT WE LOVE
Started by Lady Norton in 1930, Beoley WI is proud to celebrate its 95th birthday in 2025. We have a long historical connection to our village and local community; in fact, two, beautiful tapestries made by our members in the 1930s are still on display in the village hall and local church. Today we continue to build on our skills and interests, enjoy each other’s company and support our community. At our monthly meetings we have a fascinating programme of speakers booked throughout the year, varying from educational to entertainment. Many of our members also pursue a variety of additional activities including a craft club and local walks. In addition we organise regular excursions. Recent visits have included behind-the-scenes tours of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre as well as historic Harvington Hall, which contains the most priest ‘hiding holes’ in England.

WHO WE ARE
Welcome to Hillside@Alvechurch WI. Our small, friendly group enjoys a wide variety of interests together, meeting in a modern, accessible hall with easy parking. Come and join us!

WHAT WE LOVE
Our monthly meeting programme and external outings reflect the wide range of interests and talents of our members… from music and entertainment, a variety of crafts and local history, to gardening, nature, exercise, food and drink. We’ve enjoyed visits to historical houses and beautiful gardens, often complemented by a talk from a speaker. A recent walk along the canal with a local environmentalist describing plants and their uses, followed by a meal in a pub nearby, was particularly enjoyable!

WHY JOIN US
With Hillside@Alvechurch WI there is always plenty to do and discover. We all get involved, whether it’s organising group entertainment or providing mouth-watering cakes for our monthly meetings. Find out more at our Facebook page!
