WHO WE ARE

Chaddesley Corbett WI has been a central part of village life for over 100 years. Our 65 members are drawn from our local community as well as the Bromsgrove and Kidderminster areas, which gives some idea of our appeal!​

WHAT WE LOVE

From meetings, clubs and competitions to outings, fund-raising and friendships, Chaddesley Corbett is a thriving and supportive WI. Our main get-togethers are at our eleven, monthly meetings – each offering a variety of speakers and activities, with an associated competition. One of our most enjoyable was a do-it-yourself games evening when members tried their hand at all sorts of homely pastimes – plus Kurling, which provided great excitement, competition and conversation. We hold a monthly trading stall too, the proceeds of which go to local causes. There’s also plenty more to enjoy, beyond our meetings! Our members’ many talents are reflected in a wide choice of hobby sub-groups. A particular interest is craft, with the monthly craft club attracting about twenty ladies. Some of our members visit the village primary school to teach the children in their knitting group. There are monthly book and lunch clubs, plus at least one major lunch get-together each year and a garden party with afternoon tea in the summer. We also usually arrange at least two outings per year to interesting locations.​
