WHO WE ARE
We are a very friendly, welcoming and busy WI – in fact one of the largest in Worcestershire, with around 60 members. New faces are warmly welcomed.​
​
WHAT WE LOVE
With so much to choose from, it’s hard to summarise all the good things we get up to at Finstall Cross WI! Between us we have a huge range of interests, so offer a wide variety of talks, outings and clubs to suit all tastes. We have lots of popular sub-groups such as an art club; two book groups; a stitch, knit & crochet/craft club (which recently created a wonderful wall banner depicting our activities); a ‘munch’ club; a walking group; a film club; ‘WI kenders’ group; and a fun club enjoying beetle drives, whist drives, indoor curling, line dancing and board games. Adding even more opportunities, we an outing is organised most months. Recent highlights have been a walking tour of Cheltenham, a trip to Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum and a backstage tour at the Royal Shakespeare Company. We’re also a very supportive, well-connected bunch, with our informative website keeping us updated, and several WhatsApp groups ensuring help is always on hand if needed.​

WHO WE ARE
An active group with a friendly atmosphere, Lickey WI is a welcoming, mid-sized group offering a wide range of opportunities.​

WHAT WE LOVE
At the heart of our WI group is a strong committee who work well together, organising annual programmes that we all enjoy, and keeping everyone regularly updated by email, our website and Facebook page. As a result our monthly meetings feature expert speakers covering a range of fascinating subjects… or sometimes we simply get together for games, crafting sessions and a catch up! For our keen readers there is a monthly book group, and many of us participate in the WI’s County-wide skittles tournament and quizzes. We also organise regular lunch outings in the local area, which are always well attended. Our recent 60th birthday celebrations included making an appearance on the BBC’s Midlands Today news programme… a highlight of our year!​
