WHO WE ARE
Guarlford is a small, sociable WI offering a wide range of activities in our historic village hall, plus outings, events and special interest groups.

WHAT WE LOVE
At Guarlford WI meetings we enjoy hosting speakers on a wide variety of subjects, from history and travel to crafts and local interest. For instance, we’ve recently learned about the Tudor bishops of Worcester, cycling round the world and the geology of the Malverns – to name but a few. Of course, there’s always plenty of time for a cuppa and a catch-up too! In addition our members can take advantage of several group outings each year, as well as crafting sessions, a Christmas party and a summer garden party. We also have a very creative craft group and a keen skittles team. Our autumn craft and produce show, held biennially, is always popular.

WHY JOIN US
There is such a lot for Guarlford WI members to get involved in… or you can just come along for a pleasant social evening once a month! Whatever you prefer, a warm welcome awaits you.

WHO WE ARE
Founded more than 100 years ago, Hanley Castle WI is proud to be one of Worcestershire’s longest-standing WIs – and today we remain a thriving, large and welcoming group!

WHAT WE LOVE
Here at Hanley Castle WI, near Upton-upon-Severn, our monthly meetings offer a stimulating combination of speaker presentations, socialising and special activities. We also pursue a wide range of additional interests, including skittles, eating out, a reading group and crafting. With many of our members volunteering for a variety of local organisations, we engage well with our local community, holding a yearly plant sale, supporting the annual village show and helping out at the local Tuesday café. We also often get together with another local afternoon WI group, St Gabriel’s, meeting in the village pub each month for a ‘knit and natter’, where we often work on unconventional projects such as yarn bombing and the local post box topper!

WHY JOIN US
Hanley Castle WI offers rewarding, year-round experiences amongst friends in a beautiful village. Visitors and prospective new members are always welcome.
