WHO WE ARE
Hopwood WI has been meeting in Hopwood Village Hall since we were formed in 1920. We are a very friendly, welcoming WI for all ages of women, and always delighted to meet new potential members.

WHAT WE LOVE
Between us, our small group of around 30 Hopwood WI members is interested in everything! As a result, our monthly meetings offer opportunities to hear about topics as wide-ranging as history, local amenities and learning about technology. Speakers that have included ‘Auntie Jen’s Dramatics’, a Harvington Hall guide in medieval dress, a fun, land-based aqua aerobics keep fit class, learning how to arrange flowering baskets for the garden, and making fabulous, fabric Christmas baubles. Of course, we always round things off with tea/coffee and homemade cakes – and plenty of socialising! Many of our members also pursue a favourite hobby in one or more of our sub-groups, whether sewing, quilting, painting, walking or socialising with regular meals out together. There’s also the chance to try your hand at indoor Kurling, or bowling down our hall’s skittle alley, followed by a soup supper.

WHY JOIN US
There is so much to get involved in at Hopwood WI… and you’ll find us as keen to meet new visitors as we are our regular members. We’ll each be wearing name badges, so you’ll always know who’s who! See you soon.
