WHO WE ARE

Welcome to our small, friendly WI based in Ripple, near Upton-upon-Severn. The original Ripple WI was formed over a hundred years ago, with Earls Croome WI joining us more recently… leading to our present era as Making Waves WI.

WHAT WE LOVE

Here at Making Waves WI we benefit from a village hall that is perfect for any activity, with easy disabled access. Together our members enjoy a rewarding, year-round programme including crafting, visiting interesting places, eating out and gardening. As well as catching up with one another at our monthly meetings, we welcome a host of informative expert speakers covering a wide range of topics. We are also closely involved in our community, offering help with the upkeep of our local church and catering for parish events, amongst other activities.

WHY JOIN US

If you are seeking friendship, fun and learning opportunities do come along to one of our meetings, where you will receive a warm welcome!

WHO WE ARE

St Gabriel’s WI in the village of Hanley Swan is a lovely, small group of women who meet together in the afternoons to have fun!

WHAT WE LOVE

We often describe ourselves as a friendly group of mature ladies who enjoy books, posh biscuits, outings, lectures and laughter! Our monthly meetings – held in a well-appointed, warm, level village hall – usually feature a visiting expert speaker to inform and entertain us on topics as varied as farming, hats, crafting and women in space. For the keen readers amongst us we have a well-attended book club; plus there’s an eating out group and the occasional theatre trip. During the past year we have had tea with alpacas, held a garden party, entered the WI county craft competition, knitted seasonal toppers for local post boxes, been Christmas shopping and enjoyed a concert… to name but a few of our activities.

WHY JOIN US

We are a very caring WI. We support those who need friendship, we offer lifts and welcome visitors. Why not come and join us for one of our afternoon meetings? We’d love to meet you.
