St Michael’s WI near Tenbury Wells is proud to be a small, friendly WI offering convenient afternoon meetings and an interesting activity programme all year round.​

WHAT WE LOVE

St Michael’s WI is a cheerful group of just over 20 women, who enjoy all kinds of varied and fun activities. We love getting together at our monthly afternoon meetings, where a wide variety of speakers keep us entertained and inspired. But those meetings are just the cherry on the cake – there’s so much more to enjoy! With many of our members keen on gardening, each June we go on a garden visit: always a fun day out in beautiful places, such as Hampton Court Castle Gardens near Leominster. We also have some excellent crafts people, who help us learn new artistic skills. Our popular monthly coffee morning is a chance to catch up with friends at venues around Tenbury Wells, such as Burford House Garden Centre café. Twice a year we have a Sunday Lunch, usually at a local pub restaurant, to which family and friends are invited – a special event much loved by all. Our thriving book club meets monthly at a member’s house to discuss the latest volume (and so much more!) over tea and biscuits. We also support our local community – each August we hold a cake stall in Tenbury, raising funds for local charities through sales of our cakes, traybakes, scones and more. Last year we were able to help our local daycare centre; one of many good causes in the town.​
