WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1991, Welland WI is a small, rural, welcoming group located close to the Malvern Hills. Our friendly group of ladies of all ages hail from several local villages and have multiple interests.

WHAT WE LOVE

Despite our small size, we always have an interesting and varied programme of talks and activities at our meetings, from expert speakers to occasional craft evenings… plus regular themed competitions and plenty of refreshments! We’ve also accessed talks from WI’s central learning hub, including a tour of Soho and an introduction to English Sign Language and finger spelling. Between us we explore a wide range of special interests, including natural history, local history and human-interest topics. Recently Welland WI even joined forces with nearby Guarlford WI, to provide a toilet for the Toilet Twinning charity.

WHY JOIN US

As Welland WI members we’re proud to be at the heart of village life, while building friendships and experiences that enrich our lives. We’d love you to join – do come along!

WHO WE ARE

Wells & Wyche WI is a lovely, village-based afternoon group of around 25 members. Formed in 1977 we still have some of our founding members… and are always pleased to welcome more!

WHAT WE LOVE

Here at Wells & Wyche WI our members are a diverse group with many interests. As a result our year-round programme is packed with a variety of activities, from interesting speakers at our monthly meetings, to food and wine tasting. Members can also enjoy several sub-groups surrounding specific interests. There is a formal book group, where a book is read & discussed; more informal coffee, chat & books sessions where we relax, catch up and swap recommended books; a craft group; and a hand bell group. Our monthly lunches are also very popular… sometimes paired with outings, such as bell-ringing insights at Strensham Church; an exhibition by Dame Laura Knight at the Worcester Museum & Art Gallery; a spot of Christmas shopping; and a walk with Alpacas! In the summer a sunny garden party was held in a member’s garden. We’re also active in our local community, serving refreshments at the village fete each September.

WHY JOIN US

We like to say that our WI is ‘everything you want it to be’. Do check our latest events programme on our dedicated website or Facebook page, and come along!
